BMW’s 4th-Gen X3 Unveiled at Auto Expo 2025: Prices start at $ 87,650 | India

BMW India has unveiled the highly anticipated fourth-generation X3 at Auto Expo 2025. Known globally for its unmatched performance and premium appeal, the all-new BMW X3 continues to lead the luxury Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) segment. Locally produced at the BMW Group Plant in Chennai, the latest iteration boasts advanced technologies, enhanced dimensions, and a sustainability-focused design.

Deliveries are set to begin in April 2025, with prices starting at $ 87,650 (INR 75.80 lakh Ex-showroom) for both petrol and diesel variants.


The new X3 features BMW’s latest iDrive system with QuickSelect and Operating System 9, delivering intuitive touch and voice control functionality for an enhanced user experience.


Dominating Design and Dimensions

The new X3 commands attention with its segment-leading size and monolithic proportions:

  • Length: 4,755 mm
  • Width: 1,920 mm
  • Height: 1,660 mm

The exterior design features a bold kidney grille with BMW Iconic Glow contour lighting, adaptive LED headlights, and a dynamic light carpet. The standard M Sport package further enhances the sporty look with larger air intakes, black kidney grille bars, and aerodynamic tweaks.

Available in five premium paint options—Dune Grey Metallic, Alpine White, Brooklyn Grey Metallic, Individual Tanzanite Blue, and Black Sapphire Metallic—the X3 also introduces two new options (Calm Beige and Espresso Brown), crafted from sustainable materials.

Luxurious Interiors Packed with Innovation

Inside, the X3 blends luxury with futuristic technology. Highlights include:

  • BMW Curved Display: A seamless combination of a 12.3-inch information cluster and a 14.9-inch control display
  • BMW Interaction Bar with customizable ambient lighting
  • Panoramic Glass Roof: The largest in its segment
  • Features like head-up display, active seat ventilation, and rear window sunblinds

Rear passengers enjoy enhanced comfort with increased knee room, Travel & Comfort systems, and roller sun-blinds. A Harman Kardon surround sound system with 15 speakers offers an unparalleled audio experience.

Performance and Driving Dynamics

Under the hood, the X3 features Twin Power Turbo engines paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system for optimal efficiency and performance:

  • xDrive20i Petrol: 190 hp, 0-100 km/h in 7.8 seconds
  • xDrive20d Diesel: 197 hp, 0-100 km/h in 7.7 seconds

Both engines come with an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission and BMW’s intelligent xDrive all-wheel-drive system for superior traction and agility. The SAV also boasts adaptive suspension, dynamic traction control, and hill descent control, ensuring an exceptional driving experience across all terrains.

  • Automated parking

Standard driver assistance features include Active Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, and Parking Assistant Plus with a surround-view camera.

Sustainability and Ownership Perks

The X3 reflects BMW's commitment to sustainability, using eco-friendly materials and efficient production processes. Ownership is made hassle-free with service packages starting at 3 years/40,000 km, extendable up to 10 years/2,00,000 km. Flexible financing through the BMW 360° plan offers monthly installments starting at $ 902 (INR 77,999), along with an assured buyback option.
